Jacob John Harmer is an award-winning writer and director who uses film and photography to explore themes including - beauty, land, legacy, spirituality and society. He is based between the U.K and U.S where his poetic, distinct narrative style, has led to commissions from Adidas, Burberry, British Vogue, Microsoft, Nike, Vivienne Westwood and Zara. His editorial collaborations include I.D-Vice, and Nowness, who have showcased his vision by premiering several of his personal projects online - most recently his journey to the wild savannahs of Namibia to capture the spiritual traditions of the ancient San tribe in ‘Ju|’Hoansi’. At the IPA in 2020, he placed 3rd in the category of Analogue Landscape for his image Brother. In 2021 he released his debut photobook and short drama - entitled ‘Lost Ones’. The film screened at festivals internationally, winning multiple awards - including ‘Best Film’ at Brighton Rocks 2021.
