Hailing from Ireland David Vail began his career in New York, gaining experience assisting the most notable photographers of the time. Now established in London, David takes inspiration from French new-wave cinema, a source that never fails to elicit new ideas after studying film in his formative years. 
He is fascinated by the juxtaposition of attitude and androgyny against a dreamscape romantic backdrop, paying attention to his precise use of colour and tone to compliment narrative.
